School Council Minutes

  1. We have decided to put our minutes straight onto the blog. Our secretary says that it will save time and pupils can keep track of what we are doing!
    Here is our first attempt at putting them on the blog.

  • pupils would like:/J7 goals, bike rack /J5,basket ball club, cheerleading/J3 bike rack/J6 bike rack,
  • goals/J2mini bus ,bike rackJ1mini bus, /J8 new clubs: chill out club, dance club Egypt club
  • school council make a video for new pupils?
  • What shall we put on the blog: video, minutes/suggestions?
  • Council videos: ask Mr Llewellyn if this possible
  • We talked about our ICT vision statement to see if it neede changing
  • We decided to change some of the words because we felt that some of them were hard to understand
  • Then we looked at internet safety rules
  • We agreed with the rules and asked Mr Llewellyn to put them up in the ICT suite.

We are very excited- the adventure trail has arrived! We decided to test out the equipment to make sure it was up to standard.

SPRING TERM SCHOOL COUNCIL REPORT TO GOVERNORS

Playground- New equipment is proving very popular. Following a pupil survey, requests have been made for more bouncers. Some children have even bought their own and brought to school! Survey of most popular equipment will continue until Easter.

Road safety- School council are now Junior Road Safety Officers. The road safety project is continuing, with letters to go out to parents from the school council, reminding parents of the importance of road safety.

Garden- Quotes for the mini adventure trail are nearly in. The Treasurer for the council has had a preliminary look at the quotes and has already made a pros and cons list!

Problem solving- Council members continue to enjoy the problem solving aspect of the job eg. Sorting equipment, helping pupils, lunchtime issues.
